Tim takes us through Ephesians 4:1-6 in the last of our ‘Who on earth is the Holy Spirit?’ series, all about The Spirit of Unity. Paul in these verses emphatically declares that we are one people, because there is one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God and Father of all (v4-6). Our part is to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace (v3). This is unity within both the small c church and the capital C global church.

The Holy Spirit simply loves meeting us powerfully at the point of our own powerlessness for the purpose of mission.

Continuing in our ‘Who on earth is the Holy Spirit?’ series, we look at John 15:26-16:15 where Jesus is talking to his disciples about leaving them, but when the Holy Spirit comes they’ll be part of his mission impossible. The Holy Spirit ‘proves the world wrong about sin, righteousness, and judgment’ as he brings men and women to salvation in Jesus. He does this by inspiring the apostles to write the New Testament, which we can trust and use as we speak about Jesus and live for Jesus.

Our second in our ‘Who on earth is the Holy Spirit?’ series, looking at John 14 where Jesus is talking to his disciples about leaving them, but that the Father will send the Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit? What does he do? John 14 tells us that He is the Spirit of God and that he is another advocate (v16). We have two advocates.
