Te Kapa Rautaki and Te Pouarataki mō te Hikoi extend a warm welcome to our Hāhi Iriiri whānau to gather together at this special hui where we will farewell the old and welcome in the new. Charles Hewlett and Glenn Melville
In this video Charles Hewlett (Baptist National Leader) and Glenn Melville (Centre for Lifelong Learning), introduce the Baptist Registration process for pastoral leaders, chaplains, ministry/mission leaders, Kaiārahi Māori, and Baptist entity leaders. In August 2022 our Assembly Council presented the outcome of an 18-month review of the registration process that first began in 1996. The full details of the new Baptist Registration process and how to apply or renew can be found via the baptist.nz website. This video introduces how to apply to registration and some of the changes.

Charles Hewlett (our National Leader) believes that robust leadership of Baptist faith communities is absolutely crucial if we are to bring gospel renewal to people and places in our local neighbourhoods.In a recent Zoom conversation Charles reflected with Jonny Weir about how robust leaders are formed. Jonny is the Director of Ministry Training at Carey Baptist College – he oversees our college’s pastoral leadership training, how we as a movement of faith communities invest in future leaders.
