Christine Stride is Executive Assistant to the National Leader of the Baptist Union of New Zealand and works at the Baptist National Support Centre in Auckland. She is a member of Titirangi Baptist Church.
We are very excited to announce the appointment of Jan Ozanne to the role of Children and Families Catalyst for the Baptist Union.
Jan brings heaps of experience, expertise and passion to this important role, which she will start on 25 August.
For the past four years, Jan has been the National Points Person for Baptist Children and Families while also serving as the regional coach for the Bay of Plenty/Eastland Baptist Association. She has also been the Family Pastor at Ōtūmoetai Baptist Church in Tauranga for more than 15 years. These local, regional and national roles have given her valuable knowledge and experience in children and families ministry in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Jan is a passionate advocate for children in Baptist churches and is committed to helping our churches minister to children and families with excellence.
“I’m looking forward to the possibilities this role offers, and to strengthening relationships with churches in our movement and journeying with them as they minister to children and families,” Jan says.
We’re looking forward to helping Jan provide the Baptist Union of churches with the visionary leadership and strategic guidance necessary in the development and implementation of our He Rito initiative. He Rito is a Māori concept gifted to us to use for Children and Families Ministries and Baptist Youth; it reaches young people aged between 0 and 25 years.
Jan is married to Phil, and they have four children. She will split her time between Auckland and her home in Tauranga.
