Mike Crudge is Communications Director at the Baptist National Support Centre in Auckland. He is also part of Royal Oak Baptist Church.
It’s been a while since there was an Editor of ‘The Baptist’, or Letters to the Editor where the art of carefully crafted and succinct opinion sharing was enjoyed. We’re going to give this ‘Mailbox’ column another go and see if there’s an appetite to engage in this way with the ‘Team of 40,000’ people in Baptist churches across New Zealand.
Inform us, inspire us, lift our eyes up, remind us of what’s important, share what Jesus is doing in your part of the Union, seek collaboration partners, pitch your idea, share your lament...
The Baptist NZ communication platform (website, app, Facebook, printable newsletters) is the platform of the 240 churches and faith communities of the Baptist Union of New Zealand. It’s yours – your local church owns it and can shape it.
Got something on your mind to share?
Send an email to: [email protected] or post a letter to: Baptist NZ Mailbox, PO Box 12 149, Penrose, Auckland 1642.
Once a month or so we’ll collate a selection of letters to share with the wider Baptist family.
- Letters must be under 300 words. The place for large opinion pieces is the ‘Pondering:...’ weekend column.
- Follow our guidelines for articles, opinion pieces and online comments.
- A writer’s full residential address is required on all letters, including emails, and a phone number (this data will not be published).
- Indicate which New Zealand Baptist Church the writer is a member of (this will be published).
- Pen names or pseudonyms are not accepted, neither are titles.
- The Baptist National Support Centre communications team reserve the right to edit or decline letters without explanation.
